Maggie Daems

Née en 1937 au Nord de la Belgique flamande, je vis à Genève (Suisse) depuis 1964.

Dés la fin des années septante je reprends plus intensément l’exercice d’une expression artistique, qui se partage entre différentes techniques : dessin, gouache, aquarelle, encre de chine, crayons de couleur, stylo.

Un monde de figures humaines, qui apparaît sous ma main, joue son théâtre. Un dialogue se crée entre les êtres avec le spectateur imaginaire ou réel. L’environnement est sans pesanteur et se situe quelque part entre ciel et terre. Des figures multiformes apparaissent souvent; elles s’imposent de leur propre volonté et s’entremêlent dans la pièce en devenir. Fluides, fugitifs comme le vent, les êtres mis en scène passent et reviennent, disparaissent et reparaissent comme les hommes dans la vie réelle
